Conductor

Sergé Latychev is born in 1957 in Moscou.

Already at his fifth age he got private accordion lessons and after three years he started a trumpet study.
Sergé Latychev started his education at the school of music in Moscou (1967 - 1972) to develop his skills on accordion, piano and trumpet.
Subsequently he visited the Schnittke conservatory (1972 - 1976) and finally the famous Gnessin music academy, where he studied orchestra- and choir conducting.

In 1982 he finalized his musical studies.

The Gnessin music academy offered him a job as concertleader and during this period (1982-1986) he worked in closed harmony with famous singing-educationalists as Nina Mesjko en Ljoedmila Sjamina.

He ended this period in Russia as a teacher on the State Institute for Culture in Moscou and as the conductor of the Orenburg State Cossackchoir.

In the beginning of the ninetieth Sergé Latychev came to The Netherlands.

He published several editions about Russian choirmusic and made a lot of transcriptions for male- and mixed choirs.

Since September 1997 Sergé is the conductor of the Noord-Hollands Byzantijns Mannenkoor. He pays a lot of attention to the musicality of this choir and the technique of singing.
His network is excellent and as a result the Noord-Hollands Byzantijns Mannenkoor gave several performances on special occasions and often together with other choirs.

Since his presence in The Netherlands he conducted several choirs:
